My Blue Devil Has Wings

I'm a wife, mother, and author of My Blue Devil Has Wings. In 2012, my son Blake — a Brunswick Blue Devils football player proudly wearing #36 — lost his life in a tragic car accident that forever changed our community.

Four young lives were lost, one survivor lived through that unimaginable day, and many families were forever changed.

Through prayer, Scripture, my faith in Jesus Christ, and the love and support of our community, I found the strength to walk through the deepest grief I had ever known.

Through my journey of healing, I discovered that God could use my pain for a greater purpose. That journey led me to share my story and write the book God placed on my heart.

Today, my mission is to share a message of faith, hope, and healing — to remind others that they are not alone and that even the deepest pain can become a purpose-filled testimony.

My Blue Devil Has Wings is more than a memoir — it is a mother's journey through deep sorrow, unwavering faith, and the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Part One shares Blake's story — from the day everything changed to the love and support that surrounded the families and community impacted by this tragedy. It is a story of loss, faith, and the people who came together during one of life's most difficult moments.

Part Two invites readers into a deeper relationship with Christ through reflections, Scripture, and messages of hope and healing.

For anyone grieving a loss, questioning God's plan, caring for someone they love, struggling with depression, or walking through difficult seasons of life, this book offers a reminder that they are not alone. It also reaches those affected by substance use, offering a message of grace, healing, and hope.
